Issue #4 features some of the work I have been involved recently. I love collaborating on meaningful projects and this editorial was really special to me. First, we try using some of the local talent and designers that are emerging and put together a series of looks for this fashion spread. Photographer Akin Abayomi chose the model (Rachel) from ModelMayhem a well known internet site where models and photographers interact. Yes, he could have gone with agency models but he chose to collaborate on this project with someone that represents what Austin Texas really is about and in this case it was Ms. Rachel, the lucky look. She turned out to be an excellent choice, her bubbly personality and enchanting charisma tune the music for the shoot.

Make up and Hair was done by the multi-talented Allison of Wigs and Make up. Allison is not only an excellent make up artist for photoshoots, she is also an instructor at the University of Texas. Did I mention she also writes?. well she does, and here is her last book

The wardrobe was selected by Dreadhead, he individually selected each one of the looks and piece together the accessories needed for the shoot. Each look was independent of each other and at the same time complementary to the whole concept. The one thing bonding them together was the use of black thought the entire shoot.

The shoot was envisioned as a simplistic way of saying "When everything is black think back and add a sprinkle of color"

I supported the awesome crew by coordinating the looks, the timing, sequencing and scheduling and sourcing of some of the items. I assisted during the photoshoot and I was in charge of selecting the post-process of the final images. The editing was done by our talented friends at MAKE IT WORK Productions
